Location: Webinar

Learn how HALO Link enables a centralized digital pathology workflow designed to support biomarker and translational research

Summary

Digital pathology workflows can involve multiple disconnected steps, from image ingestion and quality control to review, rescanning, analysis, and collaboration. This webinar will demonstrate how HALO Link brings these activities together in a centralized workflow designed to support biomarker and translational research. Attendees will see how images and associated metadata can be organized within a study, how automated quality control can help identify images requiring attention, and failed images can be reviewed, rerouted for rescan, and brought back into the study. The session will demonstrate how researchers can collaborate with team members using task management, shared views, and workflow status, helping ensure visibility of the next steps. By following the journey from image ingestion through QC, review, rescan, organization, and analysis, attendees will see how HALO Link can reduce manual hand-offs, maintain clear records of project activity, and create a connected path from image acquisition to research insight.

Learning Objectives

  • Describe how HALO Link connects image ingestion, metadata management, automated quality control, review, and rescanning within a single workflow, including how failed images can be identified and routed for follow-up.
  • Explain how task management and collaborative review features can support coordination, visibility, and consistency across biomarker research projects.
  • Identify opportunities to incorporate AI-powered analysis solutions into an integrated digital pathology workflow, connecting the results to the original study.
  • Describe how a centralized platform can reduce manual hand-offs, maintain organization and traceability, and support a more efficient path from image acquisition through QC and analysis to research insight.

Presenter

Dr. Robyn Broad
Field Applications Scientist
Indica Labs

Robyn Broad earned her undergraduate degree in Biochemistry from the University of Manchester, including a placement year at MedImmune (now AstraZeneca). She went on to complete an MSc in Cancer Research and Molecular Biomedicine at Manchester before receiving her PhD from the University of Leeds School of Medicine in 2019. Her doctoral research investigated the role of cancer-associated fibroblasts in chemoresistance in triple–negative breast cancer. In 2018, Robyn joined Adaptimmune’s Target Validation team before applying her transferable histology expertise within the Tumor Profiling team in Translational Sciences. There, she analyzed tumor biopsies from clinical trials using singleplex IHC, RNAscope, multiplex IHC and multiplex IF, and developed innovative digital pathology workflows with Indica Labs’ HALO. In 2025, she joined UCB’s Biomarker Assay Sciences team, developing IHC assays for autoimmune and neurology therapeutics. Robyn joined Indica Labs in 2026 as a Field Applications Scientist, supporting HALO customers as part of the Life Sciences EMEA team.
