Bench-to-Bedside Transition of Novel HALO® Assays into Clinical Trials with HALO AP®

Date: 10 December 2021
Time: 8:00 – 9:00 PST | 11:00 – 12:00 EST | 16:00 – 17:00 GMT
Location: Webinar

Summary

Transitioning novel assays underpinned by quantitative image analysis to a clinical environment may seem a daunting task. Whereas research and discovery image analysis workflows are more flexible and open, clinical image analysis assays must be locked down.

The HALO AP platform can help to bridge this gap. In this 1-hour webinar, featured speakers will demonstrate end-to-end how to develop a quantitative assay in HALO and transition it into clinical trials using HALO AP

In this free webinar, the featured speakers will discuss the use of quantitative image analysis assays in clinical settings. The presentation will feature how to create an image analysis algorithm in HALO and HALO AI™, and how a custom assay builder can create a stepwise, guided assay workflow. Attendees will learn how the case review and collaboration tools within HALO AP can be used for management and monitoring in clinical trials.

Learning Objectives

  • Create an image analysis algorithm in HALO and HALO AI
  • Use the custom assay builder of HALO AP to create a stepwise, guided assay workflow
  • Import HALO and HALO AI algorithms into custom assays
  • Sign and lock custom quantitative assays to prevent tampering
  • Use the case review and collaboration tools within HALO AP for management of clinical trials
  • Monitor clinical trial status using the HALO AP clinical trial dashboard

Presenters

Stephaine Jerman
Sr. Imaging Scientist
Indica Labs

Stephanie has a background in cellular and molecular biology, receiving her PhD in Biomedical Sciences in the Pathology Department at the University of New Mexico. She then went on to complete Postdoctoral programs in the Genetics Department at Yale University and the Immunology Department at the University of New Mexico. During this time, Stephanie became well versed in immunohistochemistry, immunofluorescence, microscopy, and image analysis techniques. She joined Indica Labs in 2018 as an Imaging Scientist where she is responsible for collaborating with different customers on digital image analysis projects to extract meaningful data from a variety of tissue and sample types.

Katie Mckinley
Director, Clinical Applications Americas & Europe
Indica Labs

Katie is responsible for the commercial growth of HALO AP, Indica Labs’ first analysis software designed specifically for clinical workflows. Working closely with clinical laboratories, she applies her experience of the clinical market, and pathology workflow optimization to support institutions as they transition away from glass. Katie has held a variety customer facing roles over the years, entering the digital pathology industry in 2009.
