HALO Image Analysis Masterclass Series: February-March 2021

Indica Labs is excited to continue our HALO® Masterclass Webinar Series this winter. Each masterclass webinar will offer a deep dive into a specific module or capability within our HALO, HALO AI, HALO Link or HALO AP platforms, presented by our expert team of application scientists who train and support our customer base worldwide.

These webinars are suitable for prospective customers who want to see a more in depth demonstration as well as current users looking for refresher training or additional tips and tricks.

APPROACHES TO KIDNEY TISSUE ANALYSIS USING HALO AND HALO AI

Date: 11 March 2021

Time: 8:00 – 9:00 PST | 11:00 – 12:00 EST | 16:00 – 17:00 GMT

Location: Webinar

Summary

Histological study of kidney tissues from humans and animal models can reveal important information about kidney disease and injury, as well as toxicologic effects of drugs and chemicals. In this masterclass webinar, North American Director of Life Sciences Applications, Adam Smith, will discuss approaches for analyzing kidney tissues stained with H&E, immunohistochemistry, and histochemical assays using HALO image analysis modules and HALO AI. This webinar will focus on the macro- and micro-segmentation of the kidney in order to limit analysis results to the desired regions of interest, such as tubules or glomeruli. We will also look at ways to leverage tools within HALO to create HALO AI Classifiers more efficiently.

MASTERING RNA-PROTEIN CODETECTION ANALYSIS IN HALO

Date: 25 February 2021

Time: 8:00 – 9:00 PST | 11:00 – 12:00 EST | 16:00 – 17:00 GMT

Location: Webinar

Summary

Life Science Applications Manager, Dr. Sean Griffiths, will discuss the advantages of combining single cell level protein biomarker and RNA expression image based analysis across a tissue without the need for traditional grind and bind type assays. Using HALO software we will demonstrate an automated approach permitting the user to obtain a highly informative snap shot of cellular protein and RNA markers across multiple cell compartments in one analysis pass.

DEEP DIVE INTO AI-BASED NUCLEAR SEGMENTATION AND PHENOTYPING

Date: 11 February 2021

Time: 8:00 – 9:00 PST | 11:00 – 12:00 EST | 16:00 – 17:00 GMT

Location: Webinar

Summary

In the most recent HALO AI 3.2 release, we introduced two powerful neural networks for nuclear segmentation and phenotyping. In this 60-minute presentation, Switzerland-based Application Scientist, Dr. Ghislaine Lioux, will demonstrate how to set-up and train HALO AI Nuclei Segmenter and Nuclei Phenotyper, show how to apply Nuclei Segmenter within HALO’s cell-based algorithms, provide helpful tips to speed up the creation of AI training sets, and discuss common applications for each neural network, such as segmentation of highly clustered immune cell populations, segmentation of over-digested nuclei in RNAscope assays, PD-L1 cell phenotyping, and tumor and immune cell detection on H&E images.
