Masterclass Webinar: Neurobiology Image Analysis with HALO® and HALO AI™

Date: 2 February 2023
Time: 8:00 – 9:00 PST | 11:00 – 12:00 EST | 16:00 – 17:00 GMT
Location: Webinar

Learn how to maximize utility of the new Microglial and Object Colocalization modules and how HALO AI can advance neurobiology image analysis

Summary

Join us for this 1-hour webinar for a live demonstration of neurobiology image analysis using HALO® and HALO AI™. Dr. Levi Maston will demonstrate the recently released Microglial Activation modules and the Object Colocalization modules for BF and FL analysis in HALO. He will also demonstrate how to use HALO AI to differentiate between regular (light) and neuritic (dark) plaques in Alzheimer’s Disease. Be sure to bring your questions on optimizing neurobiology image analysis to our Q/A session!

Learning Objectives

  • Learn how to optimize use of the Object Colocalization module for analysis of amyloid plaques and other neurobiology objects with irregular shapes
  • the new Microglial Activation modules to quantify activated and inactivated microglia, analyze cell body size and determine the maximum cell body size, and determine counts for branch point and end point counts
  • Learn how to investigate Microglial Activation results and Area Quantification results with new interactive markup images
  • Learn how HALO AI can be used to differentiate between regular (light) and neuritic (dark) plaques in Alzheimer’s Disease

Dr. Maston earned his BS in Biochemistry from New Mexico State University and his PhD in Biomedical Sciences from the University of New Mexico School of Medicine, where he focused on vascular physiology and immunology. He followed his fascination with the tumor microenvironment from graduate school to his current role at Indica Labs. In his spare time, Levi enjoys the outdoors of the beautiful southwestern US, and can be found anywhere from whitewater rafting with his son in Durango Colorado, to racing drones at the International balloon fiesta park in Albuquerque, NM.
