Announcing HALO® Muscle Fiber BF and Muscle Fiber FL Modules Supporting Interactive Markups
We’re excited to announce the launch of the newly updated Muscle Fiber BF and Muscle Fiber FL modules supporting AI nuclear segmentation, AI membrane segmentation, interactive markups, and new output metrics.
Unlike conventional markup images, which display a static output, interactive markup images are dynamic, allowing users to toggle on and off different objects of interest as they view analysis results. In this blog post, you can learn about the interactive markup image support added to the HALO® Muscle Fiber BF and Muscle Fiber FL modules, where to find the user guides, and when to expect to upgrade.
What New Features Are Included?
This module release includes the option to leverage AI nuclear and membrane segmentation and to generate interactive markup images. Pretrained AI nuclear and membrane segmentation available in HALO means the modules are faster to set up because less time is needed for tuning analysis settings. HALO AI users have the added benefit of training their own network to embed in the analysis modules.
With interactive markup images, users can now switch the markups for specific populations on and off as well as change markup colors and toggle borders. Check out this previous blog post focused on the benefits of interactive markup images!

When Can I Expect To Upgrade?
Indica Labs will be sending an email out to customers with eligible Software Maintenance and Support (SMS) plans soon from info@indicalab.com with instructions on how to submit their upgrade request. This module upgrade requires HALO 4.1 or later. If you would like to upgrade to HALO 4.2 at the same time as your module upgrade, be sure to let the Technical Solutions team know so that they can appropriately schedule your upgrades.
